It's no secret that Mike Tomlin is one of the most outspoken head coaches in the NFL. Unfortunately, that outspoken nature just cost him an unreasonable chunk of change.

The Pittsburgh Steelers head coach didn't beat around the bush after his team's 41-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, criticizing the game's inconsistent officiating during his postgame press conference.

Naturally, it was only a matter of time before the league caught wind of Tomlin's comments and decided that discipline was necessary in this case.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the NFL hit Tomlin with an insane $25,000 fine for those comments.

Seems a little too harsh considering he could've said a lot worse, no?

Tomlin's comments are just another in the ever-growing chorus of players and coaches expressing their frustration with inconsistent officiating this year. Hopefully, things will start changing for the better. Otherwise, 2018 may end up being a long season for players, coaches and fans alike.
