The last time the Jacksonville Jaguars took a chance on a former Alabama running back, it was T.J. Yeldon, and I'd say that's working out for them pretty well right now.

Most people normally don't bat an eye when it comes to practice-squad additions, but this may be the most intriguing signing of the season so far.

With Leonard Fournette's injury situation flying off the rails, and even reports of sitting him until Week 10 swirling, the Jacksonville Jaguars have signed rookie running back Bo Scarbrough to their practice squad.

Going from practice squad to fantasy superstar isn't a quick process, but it should have you taking notice with Jacksonville's backfield looking more like an injury ward, especially if newly signed veteran running back Jamaal Charles doesn't pan out.

For those of you that remember Scarbrough and his success with Bama, you're also probably aware of he ended up sliding to a seventh-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft after shattering his leg halfway through a dominating first-half performance of the 2017 National Championship game against Deshaun Watson's Clemson team.

At a program like Alabama, it's easy to fall off the depth chart into an abyss with just one serious injury when you have 5-star recruits lining up to replace you at practically every position.

Don't let that late-round selection and previous free-agent rookie status fool you, Scarbrough can be the real deal and his rushing style is even similar to that of Fournette's.
