The fantasy playoffs are arguably the most stressful time of the year for any fantasy owner, and nothing is worse than losing out on a championship because your stud running back or wide receiver puts puts up a goose egg just when you needed them most. The best trait for any fantasy stud is consistency, but some top-tier players just can't be trusted come playoff time.
Here are three stars you shouldn't trust in the upcoming fantasy playoffs.
1. James White, RB, New England Patriots

The fact that James White is a Patriots' running back should be enough to get anyone to not trust him, but White has been a Top 10 running back this season. However, his numbers have dipped over the past couple of weeks and with both Rex Burkhead and Sony Michel back on the field, White's numbers will surely take a hit. You can never trust Pats HC Bill Belichick when it comes to fantasy and that sadly includes a back like White over the next three weeks.
2. Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Evans is a great wide receiver. He also occasionally puts up 2 points in a week. His season has been all over the place, even though he's a Top 10 wide receiver. And given the volatility at quarterback in Tampa, Evans could easily put up a dud when you need it most.
3. Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots

Rob Gronkowski's fantasy value usually directly correlates to his injury status and he's been banged up for most of the 2018 season. Gronk had a solid game against the Jets in Week 12, but relying on him to be his old self moving forward would be foolish. His best game of the season came in Week 1 when he was at full health, but it's been mostly down hill from there. That, plus three tough matchups against the Dolphins, Steelers and Bills, makes it hard to expect too much from Gronk in the fantasy playoffs.
