Sports bettors have all had their moments, but losing a spread bet on a 2-point conversion in garbage time is a different kind of suffering.

Despite numerous lead changes going into the fourth quarter of Saturday's NFC Wild Card matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks, the Cowboys held a 10-point lead over the Seahawks with less than 80 seconds remaining.

But that's not to say the Seahawks weren't going to make an effort at spoiling that lead late, and Barstool Sports' own Stu Feiner learned this one the hard way.

Considering the Cowboys were 2.5-point favorites in this one, via FanDuel Sportsbook, that's a brutal way to watch your wager being flushed away knowing almost certainly that Seattle covered that spread without a chance of actually winning the game.

So why did the Seahawks go for 2 there? Their kicker, Sebastian Janikowski, was injured and apparently they didn't feel anyone else could get the job done there.

After a tight cover like this one, it's hard not to notice the exact same, 2.5-point spread separating the Los Angeles Chargers and the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday's AFC Wild Card battle at 1:05 p.m. EST.
