Miami has seen quite a bit of coaching changes over the past month with Mark Richt retiring and the Hurricanes promoting former offensive coordinator, Manny Diaz to head coach in his place.

But that reportedly hasn't appeared to affect former Alabama starting QB Jalen Hurts' interest in potentially transferring to Miami. In fact, the only NCAA football head coach Hurts has followed on Twitter since throwing his name into the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday is none other than Miami's Diaz.

When the news broke of Hurts' transfer intentions Wednesday afternoon, the initial consensus list of schools the Texas native might be considering didn't include Miami, with programs like Houston, Maryland and Arizona topping the odds list.

However, given Diaz's promotion to head coach from offensive coordinator, the Canes have reportedly caught the eye of Hurts as the program continues searching for a new OC to replace Diaz.

Now that former senior starting QB Malik Rosier's eligibility has ended, a quarterback with the veteran experience and proven success of Hurts could help next year's talented Canes roster bounce back to contention after a disappointing 2018 season.
